Melbourne hard rock duo The Hunted Crows have just dropped a bomb on us to start the year off in the form of their new EP, Young Man.

Only their second recorded effort, they’ve already developed their sound into a raucous beast since their self-titled debut back in 2014. Young Man tears back and forth at a satisfyingly frantic pace, pausing for breath occasionally for fun interjections like Hollie Joyce’s sardonic “coochie yah yah”s on ‘Blah Blah’.

Production by Julian Schweitzer picks the polish up significantly from their earlier efforts, and it’s a great effort all-round that gets the balance just right between chunky, ball-tearing riffs and ear-worm vocal hooks.

You can give this crunchy effort a spin below as well as on the band’s site, and if you like what you hear, you’ll be able to see them live when they shred their way across the country his month – dates below.
