The xx are currently riding high from the recent release of their third album, ‘I See You’, and while visiting BBC Radio Lounge they covered ‘Too Good’ by Drake and Rihanna, although it is almost unrecognisable.

The xx removed any dancehall leanings, added a melancholic piano line, and revealed just how great the melody to the Views track really is by letting it breathe somewhat.

“We love this song. We have taken it to a different place”, says Oliver Sim in the intro. “It’s maybe not as danceable, but we hope you enjoy it.”

The cover can be found here, although you’ll have to skip to around the 2:14:30 mark.
