Apparently inspired by “kerbside parties from around the globe”, the brilliant LGBTIQ+ party-starters of Heaps Gay are throwing one hell of a gig, with a lineup that’d make plenty of mini-festivals jealous.

Having just picked up the FBi Radio SMAC award last night for ‘Best Live Event’, they’re wasting no time celebrating by announcing the party this arvo. Fellow SMAC-winner Ngaiire tops the impressive bill (curated by FBi Radio and Red Bull Sound Select), which also includes party-starters No Zu and Broadway Sounds, and a host of other live acts, DJS, artists and performers – including drag crew Gang of She.

It’s all being supported by the City of Marrickville and Southern Comfort, and should make for a great time as they all shut down the streets in colourful fashion. Having been to some of their gigs, including their recent night running the Melbourne Music Week HUB, we can definitely vouch for them – although their shiny new award probably does that for us!

It all goes down at Garden St Marrickville on Saturday Feb 12, so check out the full lineup below and grab your tix over at Heaps Gay.
