Having just announced a huge 11-stop national tour yesterday, Polish Club have hit us with some new music as an invitation: ‘Come Party’.
The second single from their upcoming debut album, Alright Already, its rollicking pace gives us a great idea of what we can expect from the record when it drops. As we’ve come to expect from these guys, the pace doesn’t let up for a single second, a wicked concoction of garage and soul that tears you to absolute shreds in three minutes flat.
The track comes complete with a beautifully-shot clip with a vibrant pop theme that seems almost too sweet… and of course, there’s a killer twist lurking midway through.
Vocalist and guitarist Novak delves into the track: “Your mate seems to be having fun, or at least his version of it. Ordering doubles, shouting at people, going through a laundry list of how you’re killing his vibe. An oppressive amount of ‘fun’. It’s off to the next bar. You should probably call it, but they’re sure this is the place that will kick it up a notch.
“Before you can stop to think if this will be actually fun, they’re calling at you. You can do whatever you want afterwards, but you’re not bailing on this. Have fun later. Come party with me.”
There’s been plenty of actual fun for the pair recently, as they’ve been keeping busy with a showing at Brissy’s Mountain Goat Valley Crawl and one of the sets of the day at last week’s St Kilda Festival, but they’re not slowing down yet – they release Alright Already on March 31st, and head out on their lengthy tour in early May.
The gigs cover pretty much every corner of the country, so if you’re loving what they’re laying down as much as we are, check out the dates below – tickets are on sale right now. For now, you can check out ‘Come Party’ below, and pick up a copy right here.
