You might remember that back in 2013, when Bruce Springsteen was in the midst of another Aussie tour, he invited an 11 year old lad onstage with him to perform a song with him. Well now, four years later, Springsteen has done the same thing again, with the same young fan.

Back in 2013 when Bruce Springsteen and his band were playing the Brisbane Entertainment Centre, 11 year old Nathan Testa was plucked from the crowd to perform a rendition of ‘Waitin’ On A Sunny Day’ with The Boss. In addition to receiving Springsteen’s harmonica, Testa shook Springsteen’s hand to thank him, to which the response came “That’s OK, I’ll see you again.”

Apparently, Bruce Springsteen is some sort of psychic, because at his Brisbane show on Thursday night, Testa managed to come on stage again and play alongside his hero yet again.

As Consequence Of Sound reports, armed with a sign which read “Missed school. In the shit now. Can I play ‘Growin’ Up’ with you?”, it caught Springsteen’s eye, who responded with “You know the song? You know it on guitar? Come on up.”

Joining the legendary rocker on stage, Testa performed and sung the song alongside his hero to rapturous applause before pausing for a selfie with Springsteen, and then leaving the stage.

We have no idea how musically accomplished Testa will be by the next time that Springsteen tours our country, but if this Brisbane performance is any indication, we might seeing Springsteen as Testa’s backup guitarist soon enough.
