Jimmy Chamberlin, drummer of The Smashing Pumpkins during their classic years, is selling over 200 pieces of musical gear.

The gear includes “many pieces used live and in the studio with The Smashing Pumpkins, Zwan, and other projects throughout his career”, as the online store states.

Among the items are a Maple Custom Yamaha drum kits used on sessions for Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness, and the ‘40s Slingerland Radio King, which Chamberlin played on 1993 classic ‘Today’.

Lest you think this clean out is a money grab, the store explains:

“Jimmy’s impetus for letting such a large amount of equipment go is simple. He likes to keep things fresh, always looking forward when it comes to his sound and playing.

“After 20–plus years of collecting gear for various projects, he believes these instruments should be in the hands of people who will play them regularly.”
