Dead Letter Circus are returning with a new album, but this one’s going to be a little bit different. Named The Endless Mile, it sees the band reimagining their debut self-titled EP, which was released ten years ago.

The new, album-length interpretation will see each of the six songs reworked and augmented with ten years’ worth of experience as a band, and will be joined by a complement of tracks picked from their albums This Is The Warning, The Catalyst Fire and Aesthesis.

The first example has just been released, and they’ve chosen Endless Mile cut ‘One Step’ to lead the charge. It’s a stripped-back take on the original’s arrangement, anchored around Kim Benzie’s vocals and a bed of piano and strings.

The whole reimagined record will drop on Friday May 12 on vinyl, CD and streaming services, and can be preordered here, while the new single can be listened to below. You’ll be able to hear the whole thing live when the band make their way across

UPDATE: The track has since been made unavailable for streaming in Australia, but should be back soon.
