Shannon Noll is undoubtedly more famous now than he ever was back in his days on Australian Idol. With his name becoming a meme in itself and his recent incident at an Adelaide strip club being ripe for ridicule, Noll has become somewhat of a legend in popular culture. However, his recent appearance in Queensland showed that Nollsie himself is the undisputed king of making Shannon Noll jokes.

As AdelaideNow reported on Friday, Noll was supposed to show up for a court appearance in Adelaide, but never did. Noll’s lawyer told the court that “[Shannon] resides and works interstate. I ask your honour to excuse his non-attendance today.” The magistrate excused Noll’s non-attendance, but stated he must show up for a pre-trial conference in April, after questioning whether an arrest warrant should be issued if he did not show up to the next appearance.

In stunning Shannon Noll fashion though, the 41-year old singer organised a stunt to accompany his performance at last night’s Red Hot Summer performance at Sandstone Point, Queensland. In a video posted to Facebook, Noll organised uniformed police officers to ‘arrest’ him during the closing bars of his famous cover of Moving Pictures’ ‘What About Me?’ With officers taking him offstage, both the crowd and Nollsie were in hysterics, before the video shows Noll high-fiving his two ‘arresting’ officers for their part in the joke.

While Noll might have been having a laugh, he may want to pay attention to his calendar to make sure he takes a trip back to Adelaide in April, lest his life imitate his onstage jokes.
