Fans of Gorillaz have been patiently waiting for new music since the group released their last album, The Fall, back in 2011. But now, according to one fan’s encounter with frontman Damon Albarn, we may be in for new music sooner rather than later.

As Consequence Of Sound reports, a young fan named Jack Winstanley happened to run into Gorillaz and Blur frontman Damon Albarn in London. While posing for a photo with the fan, Albarn reportedly let slip that the group had “just finished the album” and were already rehearsing for a tour for the album.

While Albarn was photographed wearing a new hat that he reportedly got for the new tour, a recent post from frequent drummer for Albarn, Seye, looks promising as to a new tour. Taking to Instagram to post a photo of himself lying on the floor of a rehearsal space, the picture was captioned as ‘working hard’, potentially confirming that rehearsals are indeed underway for the group’s comeback tour.

While the latest official taste of Gorillaz music came back in January with their Donald Trump-inspired ‘Hallelujah Money’, fans are feeling pretty good that we’ll be seeing more music from the group soon.
