Okay, so we knew this one was going to be just a little bit popular after a 15-year wait, but sales for Midnight Oil’s ‘The Great Circle 2017’ tour have officially gone nuts, with over 200,000 tix being nabbed in a matter of days. Excitingly for the band, the North American leg of the tour has already sold out completely, proving that the band are still as beloved overseas as they ever were.

Thankfully, that means more shows are on the way, and fans are being asked to hold off and wait for more tickets to go on sale rather than resorting to paying ridiculous prices charged by scalpers or resale websites.

New shows for Melbourne and Sydney have been announced, with venues and exact dates expected in the coming days, while a select allocation of extra tickets has also been held aside for each of the eight sold-out shows across the country, to be released later this year.

The hidden cache of tickets and extra shows is all designed to frustrate ticket scalpers, and punters are being warned that any tickets being sold through any means other than the official channels will be fakes, as the genuine articles won’t be mailed out until August.

To be safe, only grab tickets from the official band site or directly through Frontier Touring, and sign up to the band’s mailing list to keep an eye out for any announcements regarding the tour.
