Toronto metal fan Doug Brown has what he believes is the biggest collection of Metallica merchandise in the world, with over 3,000 items ranging from the rare to the mass-released in his collection.

His aim is to collect every single item ever issued in the band’s name, but admits this is probably not possible. His obsession began, as all band obsessions should, with the music. His eight-year-old mind was blown when he first heard the Black Album, and he began collecting their other releases, obviously not stopping with the studio albums.

Brown worked part-time jobs as soon as he was old enough, in order to bolster his collection, and has built up a network of similarly-obsessed fans around the world, who all buy certain releases in bulk and ship them to each other. (He has 65 copies of Kill ‘Em All on vinyl; all different releases or pressings.)

It’s safe to say this dude is a little OTT, but whatever makes him happy is alright by us. Check out his epic collection in the below video.
