With a penchant for catchy indie-rock and an ability to sell-out shows the world over, Courtney Barnett is one of Australia’s favourite musicians. Mix Barnett’s ability with the brilliant skills of former War On Drugs member Kurt Vile, and it’s a match made in heaven, right? Well, it looks like it might become a reality soon enough.
With Kurt Vile visiting our shores recently for his performances at the Zoo Twilights series, it seems as though he was able to find some time off to team up with Courtney Barnett for a collaboration that we only hope surfaces soon.
Melbourne’s Newmarket Studios took to Instagram to post a picture which included Barnett, Vile, and studio engineer Callum Barter, with a caption stating “What a fun week!!! [Kurt Vile] & [Courtney Barnett] collaboration is just the best thing ever.”
With both Kurt Vile and Courtney Barnett taking to Instagram recently to share photos of themselves with each other, it looks as though they’re best buddies. Hopefully, we’ll be seeing this collaboration reach our ears soon, because we just cannot wait!
