Sydney’s Hellions have shaken us from our slumber this morning with a ripping hardcore cover of Amy Shark’s dulcet 2016 hit ‘Adore’ on this morning’s triple j Like A Version.
You may have just heard this song once or twice over the last year – it did take Amy straight to a runner-up debut on the Hottest 100, after all – but you haven’t heard it like this. Hellions’ version sways between gentle and gruesome, its soft underbelly punctured here and there by brutal screams, but the sentiment of the original remains intact.
