With something for every fan of rock music, Australia definitely has plenty to offer on this front, and here are five of our faves.

Mojo Burning

Mojo Burning has been going on for a few years now, but continues to bring out the best rock and indie bands that it can possibly find. With plenty of stoner rock for all you fans of the heavy stuff, some amazing blues and roots acts, and everything in between, Brisbane’s Mojo Burning is turning out to be one of the modern day saviours of the classic rock and roll gig.

With bands like Nick Oliveri and Six Ft Hick on this year’s lineup, there’s always bound to be something you’ll love.

Laneway Festival

When the Big Day Out died a few years ago, many fans were left wondering where they could turn to, with many seeing heavy festivals like Soundwave as their salvation. After their very public collapse, one of the largest festivals left standing is the Laneway Festival. From humble beginnings back in the mid 2000’s, Laneway has gone on to command some of the biggest lineups that the country has managed to see since the Big Day Out.

With this year’s bill being topped by Tame Impala, Glass Animals, and Chet Faker, there’s something for everyone, and year after year, everyone leaves happy, content to ensure that next year’s festival is even better than the last.
