We’re all particularly excited about Queens of the Stone Age returning to Australia for this year’s Splendour In The Grass, but we’re just a little bit worried about their frontman’s welfare based on a new photo shared out by the band.

In it, we see a bandaged Homme, who praises his surgeon and seems in good spirits, claiming he’s “getting better already”. It’s all speculation, but it appears he could have been treated for carpal tunnel syndrome, which can seriously affect a guitarist’s ability to play.

Alternatively, he may have just put his fist through a wall for some reason, but we may never know. We’re just hoping it’s all healed up come July, and that he’ll be at the peak of his powers for Splendour season. Get well soon, Homme.

Thanks to Dr. Kushner MD for being an artist with the scalpel. Getting better already.
