Out of all of the artists roaming the planet, we expect more of Jack White each time Record Store Day rolls around, especially now that he’s opened up his own record-pressing plant.

So for this year’s RSD, kicking off on April 22, we’re looking forward to checking out the new book and record package he’s putting together, featuring an eclectic bunch of names ranging from our own Courtney Barnett to the Insane Clown Posse.

As reported by Pitchfork, the book, titled The Blue Series: The Story Behind the Color, will explore the history of White’s ‘Blue Series’ releases with Courtney and ICP, as well as Beck, Tom Jones, and even Stephen Colbert. The RSD release will come with a 7″ featuring a couple of unreleased Blue Series recordings as well, from First Aid Kit and Gibby Haynes of the Butthole Surfers.

There’ll also be a few other goodies on the way from Third Man Records, including a golden 7” of White’s new single ‘Battle Cry’, as detailed below.
