Mark down September 1 and 2 in your diary, because Jindabyne, NSW will once again be playing host to the only festival in the country to combine snow and music.

Snowtunes is building upon the success of the past two years’ events by adding another full evening of entertainment, the first time the festival has stretched out over two days.

While we love a good festival, they all tend to blur into each other after a while, with similar lineups, stage setups, nondescript fields, and lines and lines of portaloos and food trucks.

Obviously Snowtunes won’t be at all like that, and in case you aren’t convinced by the killer lineup, featuring the likes of Gang of Youths, SAFIA, Drapht, Skegss, Elk Road, Trophy Eyes, Tigerlily, Northeast Party House, Tkay Maidza, Thelma Plum and many more, we have stepped out a few other reasons you’ll wanna get to the snow this September.

With the first pre-sale offering weekend passes for just $99, tickets are sure to sell out faster than you can say “Snow Worries”. So, be sure to get in early today to secure your spot!

This special price will only be available for 24 hours; enter code “snowblitz” at the checkout to redeem the offer.

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION

Ever wanted to combine the adrenaline of a day on the slopes and a night in a moshpit? Of course you have.

Nailing an obvious hole in the saturated festival market, Snowtunes is one of the only festivals that are capitalising on the crowds that flock to the snow during winter.

Whereas most festivals take advantage of Australia’s seemingly endless summer (which doesn’t seem so flash when queuing under the belting sunshine to grab a drink), Snowtunes is designed around the snowfields and all the activities on offer there that no summer festival can offer.

The festival is located in the heart of Lake Jindabyne, conveniently between the famous ski slopes of Perisher and Thredbo. Basically, you can spend your days hitting the slopes, and your afternoons and evenings checking out some of the best bands in the land.

Snowtunes is located smack-bang between Sydney and Melbourne too – and if you’re a Canberrian, you can practically ski there (don’t though).

SICK OF THE CROWDS? SNOW WORRIES

The age of the boutique festival is well and truly upon us. Laneway is taking charge as one of Australia’s premiere festivals, Paradise and Big Pineapple Fest are making waves, and Snowtunes is continuing that run of small-scale innovators – with a picturesque twist.

Last year 4,000 people attended the boutique festival last year, and now with an extra day and a second stage, Snowtunes has the capacity for more revellers, without cramming fans into caged off areas like sardines.

Rather than a huge commitment that leaves you tired, and cooked for a week afterwards, maybe it’s time to stop trying to handle the heat, and embrace the majesty of Lake Jindabyne combined with a selection of Australia’s finest acts.
