Axl Rose and Billy Joel don’t seem like an obvious fit on paper, but they are both famous piano men who each recorded their last substantial album in the early ’90s, (don’t mention Chinese Democracy), each married and divorced models who were the subject of their most famous songs, and both often cover ‘Highway To Hell’.

Okay, so they don’t have too much in common, but that didn’t stop Axl Rose showing up as a very special guest at Billy’s Dodger Stadium concert over the weekend, belting out ‘Highway To Hell’ and Billy Joel’s 1979 gem ‘Big Shot’.

Joel joked that the AC/DC song was “a spiritual song, a sacred song” before introducing Rose to the audience.
