Our latest ‘Single of the Week’ comes courtesy of Sydney producer Love Deluxe, in the form of his debut tune ‘Cool Breeze Over The Mountains’, taken from his upcoming EP Silk Mirage.

As a relatively unknown signing to the always on-point Soothsayer label, ‘Luxe has already picked up his first triple j spins this week, and we’re sure it won’t be the last we hear of him on the station, his sunshine-imbued synths feeling right at home there. With influences from both disco and funk, there’s a timeless quality to it, as if it could have been an undiscovered gem dug out of a dusty crate.

Directed by Chris Hopkins and Axel Moline of Lost Art, the video clip is especially clever, with ‘Love Deluxe’ becoming the name of a long-running fashion mag. The clip captures the design of the constantly-morphing fashion industry through the exhaustive use of era-appropriate footage, and the effort paid off, pairing perfectly with the lush production.

And yes, aside from being an appropriate indication of what you’re going to get, the track’s title also refers to the literal translation of Keanu Reeves’ first name. Of course.

Check out the video below, and grab the track here if you’d like to add it to your next mix – we can’t wait to hear more.
