In case you forgot that about it in the midst of all the constant conspiracy theories and talk of aliens, Tom DeLonge is actually a pretty good musician. In fact, when he teased some new music earlier today, fans went, pretty understandably, wild about it.

After Blink-182 took some time off in 2005, DeLonge used this opportunity to form Angels & Airwaves, a side project which is best described as ‘space rock’. Arguably one of the better Blink-182 side projects, Angels & Airwaves have kept a relatively steady output of music since 2006, but things have been a little bit quiet in recent years.

Taking to Instagram earlier today, DeLonge posted a photo of himself during an Angels & Airwaves gig, captioned by the words “@angelsandairwaves music coming #StrangeTimes.”

While there’s no word yet on a date for this new music to arrive, fans of the group can definitely sleep soundly knowing that Tom DeLonge hasn’t forgotten about you.

This of course comes only weeks after DeLonge teased new music for his other side project, Box Car Racer, which started as a project between himself and Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker. While Box Car Racer haven’t been active 2003, we can definitely hold on to the hope that a musical reunion with Travis Barker may result in DeLonge being welcomed back into the Blink-182 family. We can only hope.
