More details have begun to emerge via Kanye West’s over-active Twitter site about his new film project- a 40-minute ‘noir piece’ based on his new album ‘Runaway’.
He said the film is “the story of a phoenix fallen to Earth, and I make her my girlfriend, and people discriminate against her and eventually she has to burn herself alive and go back to her world.”
In a surprising show of insight, he also said “I threw a Molotov cocktail on my career last year, in a way, and I had to come back as a better person.” Whether or not that has happened is yet to be seen, but awards shows across the country have installed a special ‘Kanye alarm’ in case of future speech high-jacking from West.
The film is still in production, but I’m sure West will let us know well in advance of its release date.
