Radiohead front man Thom Yorke has put out a call for his band’s fans to assist recreate the 11th century English Monarch King Canute’s futile demand to make the waves stop. The Danish king of England, Denmark and Norway infamously placed his throne on the seashore and commanded the tide to turn back. The tide had other ideas. Yorke is assisting climate change group 350.org in an art installation to recreate the legend and needs 2,000 black clad volunteers to join him in Brighton on the South Coast of England this weekend to form a human art installation to draw attention to the issue of climate change.
