We’d like to know a little bit about you for our files, but we don’t like regurgitating press releases or asking the easy questions. At Tone Deaf we only ask the tough questions, so just hold still, grit your teeth, clench your buttocks and be still while we put on the rubber gloves, apply the thumbscrews, and pull out our thermometer while you open up and say ahhhhhhhhhhh… Truthful answers only or we drink your rider while you’re on stage.

Who gets the most ‘off stage action’ in the band? What’s the secret to their success?
I’d have to say Luke. He plays the drums. Girls love drummers!

Have you ever been arrested? Where were you, and what was it for?
Luke was arrested for peeing in public. He went to court and copped eight hours of community service cleaning helicopters.

What’s been the worst day job you’ve ever had?

Well, it wasn’t really a day job. It was graveyard shift driving a forklift in a factory in Dublin. I lasted a month and then realised it was the job or my sanity.

Sex, drugs and groupies – In what order do you prefer them and how often?

What happens backstage, stays backstage! Luke insists on that rule!

Take us back to the first gig you went to. Where was it and what was the venue?

It was Lenny Kravitz at the Tennis Centre in Melbourne. Man, he was the bee’s knees back then. Nothing ever compares to your first gig. Just blows your socks off!

What’s your favourite site to download music from and do you ever pay for it? Can we find any of your releases there?

I only ever pay for downloads. You go to hell if you download music for free don’t you? I use iTunes and our single History’s Door is up there, as our album will be in April.

What’s the furthest you’d go to win over a new fan?

We go all the way! Every time we perform! For all of our fans…new and old!

Right, here’s the plug section – tell us about upcoming gigs/tours and releases.

We’re releasing our new single History’s Door on Feb 26. We’re playing at Beetle Bar in Brisbane on Feb 17, Buddha Bar in Byron on Feb 18 and The Evelyn Hotel in Melbourne on Feb 26, to celebrate the release. We release our new album, Forever So, April 5 and will be touring around the country throughout May and June. We spent the last year recording it and went over to the USA to mix it, so we’re very excited to get it out there!
