Jimmy Hawk is one of Melbourne’s most loved folk-pop troubadours. Always shifting and exploratory as a songwriter, his music aims for romantic transcendence using melody, hazy-eyed choruses, dream filled lyrics and warm production values. Not surprisingly, these heartfelt tunes have garnered him an enthusiastic following and have seen him perform alongside artists such as Cold War Kids, Little Red, The Temper Trap and Silver Sun Pickups.

After having spent a period living and writing in Los Angeles, Jimmy returned home to record and release his debut album, Echo Park. Hitting shelves and the blogosphere last year to critical acclaim, Echo Park garnered massive community radio support around the country and raves in the blogosphere. With singles ‘Born On A Mountain’ and ‘All The Boys’ enjoying plenty of spins on Triple J, his most recent single ‘Bullet To The Brain’ was also added to rotation on FBI radio Sydney.

Now backed by a full time band and having spent the latter part of last year focused on new material, Jimmy Hawk & The Endless Party are excited to announce the release of their new 7″ ‘Meet Me At The Party’, which is available now for exclusive free download here. The new single is a rollicking tale of doe eyed yearning evoking Gram Parsons and Roy Orbison, coloured by lap steel guitars set to a Bo Diddley beat. The exclusive free download precedes a limited edition 7” vinyl release on May 22nd.

To celebrate the launch of their one off single ahead of the forthcoming sophomore album, Jimmy Hawk & The Endless Party will be playing exclusive launch shows in Sydney and Melbourne.
