Velociraptor is the 12 piece band from Brisbane who play dirty garage pop and who have been creating a buzz with the release of their debut EP and stirling performances at the recent Bigsound Live event. Although their music sounds rather chaotic, they do a good job at making their sound coherently chaotic with screams, yelps, big muddy guitars and addictive chorus’. This particular track ‘Sleep with the Fishes’ is about relatively dark subject matters such as murder, suicide and various ways to literally ‘Sleep with the Fishes’ yet the surrounding sound of the song is upbeat, fun and extremely energetic. It’s big and it’s right in your face. Check it!
