The legendary JD Set just finished up their last celebrations that saw Art Vs Science perform the songs of Icehouse. But they’re not wasting anytime and have just announced another round of shows, this time bringing pop-punksters Good Charlotte to Australia to headline a very special group of concerts in November.

Good Charlotte have sold over 10 million albums globally sitting them comfortably on the throne of the pop-punk world. But as has become tradition with the JD Set this will not just be a set of vanilla concerts. The twist is that Good Charlotte will be performing a classic album from one of their biggest influences, Weezer.

The album referred to as The Blue Album was released in 1994 and spawned the mainstream hits Undone – The Sweater Song and Buddy Holly, and has since sold over 3 million copies worldwide while often being touted as one of the most important albums of that pivotal era in music. Rolling Stone magazine listed The Blue Album at #297 in its 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.

Good Charlotte’s Benji Madden enthused “As everyone knows we consider Australia a second home. We are excited to have the opportunity to not only come to our favourite country but also perform some of our favourite songs from one of our favourite bands.”

The very special group of concerts will be held at The Forum, Melbourne on Thursday, 10 November and in Sydney on Friday, 11 November at Selina’s @ Coogee Bay Hotel. Plus, for the first time they’ll be heading up north to Eatons Hill Hotel, Brisbane on Saturday, 12 November for what is going to be a very special outdoor performance.

Tickets for The JD Set go on sale at 9.00am on Tuesday, 4 October from www.ticketmaster.com.au (Melbourne) and www.moshtix.com.au (Sydney and Brisbane), so round up your crew and don’t hang around!
