Foo Fighters front man Dave Grohl sure likes to keep himself busy. According to reports in the US, the former Nirvana drummer is reportedly working on a documentary about Sound City Studios where ‘Nevermind’ and other classic albums have been recorded by the likes of REO Speedwagon, Fleetwood Mac, Tom Petty, Nine Inch Nails, Willy Nelson, and Eric Clapton.

Although unconfirmed by Grohl himself, REO Speedwagon front man Kevin Cronin let some details of the unnamed project in a recent interview with Artisan News.

“Dave is working on this project based on a studio that we all used to work at. It’s really interesting. I probably shouldn’t be talking about it – Dave will probably announce it. But it’s very cool. I’ve been in contact with him lately,” Cronin said.

We pressed for more he continued “There was a studio that all of us worked at, where they recorded ‘Nevermind’, and I know that it meant a lot to a lot of artists. So Dave is just kind of putting together something to get the stories that all the artists had about that studio.”

Grohl hasn’t even announced the project so no word on when we may get to see it, but with a current tour by Foo Fighters of North America and then Australia we think he’s probably got enough going on for the time being.
