Playwrite – Single Launch

Playwrite – Single Launch

Written by Sarah Guppy on 17 April 2012

Playwrite are excited to announce their return in May, to celebrate the launch of their latest single ‘Borderline’. The single is a haunted, luscious and powerful hymn to the rediscovery of joy. ‘Borderline’ personalises the universal adrenaline-rush of complete clarity in a driven, compact epic. Launching in Melbourne at the Phoenix Public House on Saturday 26th May, with support from I, A Man & Hayden Calnin this one is not to be missed.

Creating a wild and haunting wall of sound; animalistic and undeniably catchy. Through pounding drums, samples and swirling guitars come soaring lyrics and chants reminiscent of TV on the Radio, Arcade Fire and Akron/Family. A fresh, dynamic and singular addition to the Australian live music scene, Playwrite are a band galvanised by their energy and musicianship.
