Not one to be missed along this strip of pubs, bars, eateries and retail shops on Brunswick Street, this cosy little bar offers live music 5 nights a week and also showcases art exhibitions for local and emerging artists and film previews.

Monday nights is the ‘Film Society Night’ devoted to rarely seen, obsessively loved and criminally neglected cult classics of cinema. Revisit old favourites, uncover hidden celluloid gems, indulge guilty pleasures, or just get yourself an education.

Downstairs offers an open fireplace with seating available and a typically small Fitzroy-eque beer garden.

Upstairs hosts a second bar and a small raised stage. Sometimes band members will be standing within the audience due to the lack of space on stage but don’t let that deter you from attending, as this only adds to the low-key, friendly vibe.

Open till late, with most gigs offering free entry.
