Much to the delight of Fleetwood Mac fans, Lindsey Buckingham and Christine McVie have recorded a duets album together, which will be out on June 9.
A few weeks back, we heard the first taste from this album, a spritely, Rumours-esque tune named ‘In My World’, and now we have another song, the brilliant and romantic ‘Feel About It’, which can be listened to below.
“We were exploring a creative process, and the identity of the project took on a life organically,” Buckingham explains of the album, which has been in the works since 2014. “The body of work felt like it was meant to be a duet album. We acknowledged that to each other on many occasions, and said to ourselves, ‘What took us so long?!’”
“We’ve always written well together, Lindsey and I,” says McVie, “and this has just spiralled into something really amazing that we’ve done between us.”
McVie’s unabashed romanticism hasn’t faded over the years, with the songbird singing the lovely, “You’re so beautiful, beautiful – that’s how I feel about you” in the chorus. Check it out, below.
