For one night only we’ve assembled the most ghoulish group of Melbourne’s bands to play the biggest rock ‘n’ roll Halloween party this city has ever seen!

NIGHT CREATURES: ‘A SUPERNATURAL SPRING BREAK’ will be held Friday 28th October at the favourable St Kilda haunt, the Prince Band room with special guests Red Ink to headline the night.

Now dubbed the unofficial start to the Halloween break, make sure your gruesomely gouged feet are a’ stompin’ with Cold Hiker kicking of the night, followed closely by Without Wolves, Young Maverick and The New Eileens.

To get you geared up for Red Ink, local institution The Priory Dolls will fill you up with a heavy dose of rock ‘n’ roll lifted from their debut album ‘Suddenly, At The Priory’, previously being described as possessing a sound that resembles ‘…a thousand bears fighting a thousand robots’ The Priory Dolls are sure send you into a zombie frenzy.

Setting the night of fire, Melbourne indie rock outfit Red Ink are sure to raise the hairs on the back of your neck with their iconic brand of ‘rock visual’. The boys have been busy touring, so to welcome them back home, show us your bloody wounds at ‘NIGHT CREATURES: ‘A SUPERNATURAL SPRING BREAK’

Hosted by Tone Deaf Presents the night will be a mirage of zombie brides, hopeful uni graduates and spooky beach party lifesavers.

We’re baaaaackkkkk! Tone Deaf’s fortnightly parties had to be put on hold briefly after fire damaged our Melbourne rock n’ roll HQ at the Ding Dong Lounge.

However, you can’t keep party animals like us at home, and we’re back in style as we hold a Splendour In The Grass Refugees Party at our new home, upstairs at the newly re-opened Laundry on Johnson Street Fitzroy.

We thought we’d come back in style with two of the acts we tipped in our Hot Aussie Artists of 2011 at the start of the year and boy have they gone on to big things! Red Berry Plum have become one of the hottest acts in town, picking up international supports left right and centre and joining the upcoming Parklife Festival, while Kristina Miltiadou started out the year playing with Marina & The Diamonds and then causing a storm the Playground Weekender Festival.

The Tone Deaf DJ crew have been getting itchy fingers while sitting at home on Saturday nights lately and they’re gagging to hit the decks until the wee hours playing a Splendour Best Of set with tunes from The Hives, Warpaint, Does It Offend You Yeah?, Pulp, Glasvegas, Elbow, Kanye West … and hmm, perhaps we’ll leave Coldplay out. Join us as we bring Tone Deaf back in style at the newly reopened The Laundry this Saturday 30th July from 8pm!

HAPPY HOUR -

$10 Beer/Sangria jugs 9PM – 10PM

Can you back it up three or even four nights in a row like the Tone Deaf crew and party right on through the Queen’s Birthday Weekend? After planning to cane it all weekend we realised that Monday was a holiday and that it wouldn’t seem right if we were sitting at home recovering when there was a whole day to do it the next day.

So we got in touch with arguably the three seediest bands in Melbourne and asked if their 24 hour party people wanted to come and play their ball tearing rock as we partied until dawn. St Kilda sleazemongers Bitter Sweet Kicks are heading in to the city to headline on the Ding Dong Stage, while backing them up as they knock the shots back will be the Vice Squad’s favourite raid targets, the throbbing swagger of the Vice Grip Pussies, Thrown in the unhinged rock n’ roll and tambourine maelstrom of Levons Crown and we’ve got a night of unrestrained rock n’ roll hooliganism to celebrate the public holiday.

Thrown in the Tone Deaf DJ crew playing sleazy rock n’ roll, metal and garage tunes, as well as cheap as fuck drinks, and you’ll be glad the next day that this is the last public holiday until November.

Tone Deaf is set to kick off one of our biggest nights of the year as we welcome the mighty DZ Deathrays back to Melbourne fresh from their all conquering brief foray to the UK where they had the music industry frothing at the mouth and waving chequebooks around, as well as the NME throwing the plaudits their way. The august rag has included them in their tracks of the week during May and also anointed them one of the ‘buzziest’ bands at the Great Escape festival in Brighton during the same month.

The hype is reaching fever pitch around these guys and their breathtakingly fast garage punk sound bites as they prepare to head off on a national tour in August with Children Collide. In the meantime, they’re headlining a massive Tone Deaf party on June 18th. With special guests King Gizzard & Pretty Littles and $10 jugs, along with the Tone Deaf DJ crew spinning the best garage, punk, indie and rock.
