Byron Bay Bluesfest has already served up an absolutely magnificent lineup for 2017. With names like Barry Gibb, Neil Young, Santana, Patti Smith, and Mary J Blige, we’re already there.

But as always, they’ve gone and done us fans and punters one better and announced yet another stack of incredible artists, including UK 2 Tone ska revival legends Madness.

“After a few headliner single artist announcements, I am so pleased to say there are now going to be a few weeks of multiple artist releases, and in typical Bluesfest style, they will be beauties,” said Bluesfest founder Peter Noble.

“Headlining today’s announce is the much loved Ska 2 Tone British band from Camden (London), Madness, and they are going to tear the house down.”

“From playing on the roof top recently at Buckingham Palace to producing such wonderful Number One singles as ‘Our House’ and ‘House of Fun’, they truly are one of the great ’80s UK bands, and they continue to be huge.”

But Noble did mention a “multiple artist release”, so you’ve not only got Madness, but you’ll also be treated to the Miles Electric Band, Patti Smith and her band performing a special acoustic set, Billy Bragg and Joe Henry, and more.

There’s still plenty more acts to be announced in the upcoming months and organisers are once again promising a “five day Easter extravaganza” delivering 12 hours of music daily across multiple stages.
