Ceres have had a big year so far, teaming with The Smith Street Band on their biggest tour to date and working with Wil Wagner on the impressive punk duet ‘Stretch Ur Skin’, taken from their brand new EP, so it’s no surprise they might be ready for a bit of time off to reevaluate.

Now ready to take the record on the road with them for a tour all of their own, Ceres have announced a new tour, with the warning that it will signal their “last shows for a long, long time; so please, get in quick”.

They also dropped the news that Slowly Slowly will be supporting, along with “some VERY special guests” – I’m not going to bet the house on The Smith Street Band (I don’t own one, for one thing), but hey, you never know.

The tour runs from Friday August 4 to Friday August 11, taking in Brissy, Melbourne, and Sydney’s newly-relaunched Lansdowne Hotel along the way, with tickets on sale tomorrow from 9am sharp. You heard the band – don’t miss out.

There are still a couple of dates left to go on their tour with The Smithies tomorrow and Saturday nights in Perth and Adelaide, with more info here.
