Fresh from being dragged around in a harness at the Super Bowl halftime show, Lady Gaga will be teaming up with Metallica for a performance at the Grammys.

This is an unorthodox pairing for sure, but that’s not to say it will be an unsuccessful one. Gaga has showed time and again that she has stylistic range, while Metallica are no strangers to odd pairings, last appearing at the Grammys in 2014, when they performed ‘One’ with classical pianist Lang Lang. Not to mention their album with Lou Reed, or their live record with the San Francisco Symphony.

Metallica are nominated for Best Rock Song for ‘Hardwired’, too, battling Radiohead, David Bowie, Twenty One Pilots, and Highly Suspect for the honour.

The Grammys will air on February 12.
