For her sophomore record Ultraviolence, Lana Del Rey has enlisted The Black Keys’ lead vocal and guitarist Dan Auerbach to produce a handful of tracks.

The first release from the upcoming record entitled ‘West Coast’ has finally surfaced, and it’s laden with Auerbach’s garage prowess.

‘West Coast’ bestows a perfect balance of that original sugar-sultry Lana that initially won the songstress infinite hoards of obsessed fans, however, with the addition of Auerbach, the self-proclaimed ‘gangsta Nancy Sinatra’ steps toward a more dry, bluesy inspired track.

The gritty Auerbach element (surprisingly to some) pairs well with Lana’s dream-like husk and swings the doors of anticipation wide open for the remained of Ultraviolence. Although there’s no official release date written in the cement, Del Rey has hinted Ultraviolence will be released on May 1st. We wonder if this unlikely collaboration will spawn another blockbuster release for the 27-year old, akin to her debut in 2012, Born To Die.
