Acts Bail On Weekend Festival

It wasn’t a great weekend for Fat As Butter as two acts, Flo Rida and Owl Eyes, missed their sets at the festival. Organisers and the crowd were frustrated when they learnt Owl Eyes would miss her set due to issues at the airport, with the singer later explained on Facebook:

Sorry to everyone who came down yesterday to Fat As Butter to watch my set, we didn’t make it to the stage due to a disastrous morning at the airport and made it to the festival just in time for our set to be finished : ( I hope I can make it up to you in the future ♥

However frustration soon turned to anger when it became apparent that headline act Flo Rida was also not making an appearance. Organisers had been scrambling all day attempting to get the rapper from Sydney to Newcastle but their efforts were in vain. On Saturday afternoon on the official Fat as Butter Facebook wall they posted:

Due to unforeseen circumstances out of our control, FAB regretfully announces that Flo Rida is experiencing transport issues and will be unable to perform at FAB today.

A few hours later and more information appeared to leak out about the ‘transport issues’ indicating the only issue with the transport is that Flo Rida wouldn’t get in it. According to Fasterlouder, a follow up message from “Brent As Fat As Butter” posted:

We’re as upset as you are. We paid Flo to appear months ago and since he’s been on his Australian tour, he’s been an absolute Tonk. He’s been in Sydney today, and he’s had a hissy fit. We did everything we absolutely could to get him here, but he wouldn’t come. We’re absolutely devastated he decided not to be a part of Fat As Butter.
