Here at Tone Deaf, we love a batty conspiracy as much as the next nutter, but when it comes straight from the mouth of one Dave Mustaine, we have to take it with a healthy dose of salt.

Get your shakers ready then, because this one is a pearler.

The Megadeth frontman has spouted some controversial rhetoric that totally outstrips Philip Labonte, vocalist for All That Remains, and his recently submitted article defending the individual’s right to own and bear weapons. An ill-timed opinion editorial released in the wake of the horrific shooting at a movie premiere  of The Dark Knight Rises that left 12 people dead and 58 others injured.

But Mustaine has gone several steps better, claiming that the American President is involved in a conspiracy surrounding recent American shootings, claiming Barack Obama was behind the Batman Movie Massacre to promote his gun control agenda.

According to Blabbermouththe famously conservative Mustaine went on a public tirade last week during a Megadeth concert in Singapore, accusing Obama of planning both the July 20 shooting at a Dark Knight Rises premiere, as well as the violent shooting that occurred at a Sikh temple in Milwaukee earlier this month.

“Back in my country, my president [makes puking sign with his finger in his mouth], he’s trying to pass a gun ban, so he’s staging all of these murders,” ranted Mustaine onstage.

“Like the ‘Fast And Furious’ thing down at the border; [the massacre in] Aurora, Colorado, all the people that were killed there; and now the beautiful people at the Sikh temple [near Milwaukee, Wisconsin],” said the Megadeth singer/guitarist.

Never mind the implications of charging the leader of the free world with orchestrating a series of massacres to enable his political status (crazier things have happened), but Mustaine continued his Obama bashing by recounting an exchange with the concert’s promter.

“I was saying, ‘I don’t know where I’m gonna live if America keeps going the way it’s going because it looks like it’s turning into Nazi America’ and he said, ‘Move down here to Singapore’.”

No word as yet if any US patriots in attendance began giving Mustaine flashbacks by pelting him with rocks the way a Croatian crowd did at a recent metal music festival; but it’s a statement controversial enough to rank alongside his distasteful comments about Africa’s many issues, recommending population control to the nation’s women – telling them to “put a plug in it.”

Mustaine’s suggestion that Obama ‘staged’ the American gun massacres is another attack on the President, with Loudwire reporting that the Megadeth mouthpiece promoted his status from ‘controversial’ to ‘vastly unlikeable’ by questioning the legitimacy of the President’s birthplace.

“Why hasn’t somebody moved to impeach this man?” Mustaine railed on a radio program. “With all of the proof about his birth certificate being fake. And you see the signs in Kenya that say: ‘The birthplace of Barack Obama.’ Hello?! C’mon, guys. How stupid are we right now?”
