Aussie hip hop stars Bliss N Eso have rewarded fans with a hip-hop take on Lana Del Rey’s “Video Games.”

The new cut was released to commemorate the Sydney rappers reaching 400,000 ‘likes’ on their Facebook page, and finds the MCs rapping over Del Rey’s laconic piano and harp swells, retaining the “it’s you/it’s you” chorus for the main hook.

The M-Phazes produced tune also includes a number of inspirational vocal monologues.

The track is the first new material from Bliss N Eso, who are busy working in the studio on the sequel to 2010’s Running On Air – the album that spawned their most successful tour to date, including trips to the US where they teamed up with Kottonmouth Kings, along with home-town shows that saw them performing in front of record-breaking crowd of over 50,000 people.

The success of the album also saw the group perform at the highest selling local hip-hop show of all time playing to 8,000 fans at Brisbane’s Riverstage.

Bliss N Eso’s next release is an impending concert DVD to commemorate the album and subsequent tour called Running Air Live.

Meanwhile, Lana Del Rey remains at the centre of music news; the latest of which being material that surfaced on YouTube late last week under the moniker May Jailer,  the folk-influenced tunes are reportedly the pseudonym for a very early incarnation of Lana Del Rey.
