Iconic Australian record label Stomp has changed its name. It is now known as Elan Media Partners. New owners Paul Uniacke and Eddie Nedelko announced the change last week, with Uniacke saying “Elan Media Partners is a new brand that expresses passion for entertainment and strength in online retailing and licensed brand distribution. We aim for customers and suppliers to experience that passion and strength from today onwards.”

Stomp was sold and went in to liquidation back in August, owing lots of money to not only local bands and publishers, but also to overseas record labels which it distributed in Australia. The new owners acknowledge that it’s going to be a bit of a battle dealing with the issues surrounding the company being placed in to administration, but hope the company can rebuild its name in the marketplace.
