Apparently the Creamfields after party in Brisvegas on the weekend got a bit heated after a couple of normally pilled up DJs got a bit hot and bothered over each other’s doof music taste. According to reports, Canadian DJ Deadmau5, who had just been pushing buttons on sequencers at the festival in the Queensland capital, shimmied down a mau5 hole to make the show’s after party.

Apparently he took a dislike to the music being played at the Birdie Num Num club, and walked up to the DJ, telling him to get his shit together or ship out. One version of the story suggests that the DJ told the international superstar ‘record spinner’ to piss off, upon which he was followed by the now fuming DJ and punched in the back of the head.

Apparently according to that version, Dedmau5 then left the club. Other reports on Twitter from a mate of the unnamed club DJ, producer Sampology, “Just found out a mate of mine punched Deadmau5 in the head at the Creamfields after party. Apparently my mate was DJing and Deadmau5 was harassing him for his tune selection and got up in his space so he dropped him.”

Deadmau5 – better known as Joel Zimmerman to his Mum – had his own Twitter report to make, saying “Birdee nightclub in Brisbane. Opening DJ came at me later in the night and decided to punch me in the back of the head.” He had earlier cracked it, saying: “Thank God for Creamfields tonight, cause the music at the after party is fucking god awful.” Glowsticks at ten paces boys!
