One of rock n roll’s kookiest and most enigmatic alumni, Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan, has revealed in an interview with Fox News in Chicago that he is taking his decade long passion for wrestling to a whole other level by actually setting us his own league.

“I’ve been involved sort of behind the scenes with pro wrestling for about a decade and made a lot of friends in the business,” he said to the television anchors. “It’s a very insular business and it’s a long story, but I essentially got involved with some brothers who had a wrestling promotion. We decided to form our own promotion and we’re going to try to bring back to the glory days.”

Corgan will be putting his writing skills to the test with his new venture, but instead of writing songs he’ll be in charge of writing the story lines for the wrestling matches. Wha?! Did we just let the cat out of the bag? Yeah, wrestling is fake.
