Well that didn’t take long. It hasn’t even been 2 years since the infamous falling out between brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher forced iconic British band Oasis to split, and already there are talks of a reformation.

Perhaps jealous of the attention fellow rockers The Stone Roses are receiving after announcing their reformation last week, Liam appears to have reversed his position, indicating he would be open to a reformation the celebrate the 20th anniversary of seminal album Morning Glory.

“In 2015, if we can put our shit aside, we can tour and play the album in its entirety for the 20th anniversary,” he said to Rolling Stone. “I’d be up for that, if it’s on our terms. There’s got to be two-way respect.”

In February this year Liam said to media that Oasis would never reform, “This is not a stopgap until me and Noel come to our senses and start Oasis again,” he said of his new project Beady Eye. “That is well and truly done.” However a week later he clarifed his position saying “I’m not going to say, ‘Never’, but at the moment no fucking chance. But it wouldn’t be for money, mate. I like to think that if we did get back together – which we fucking won’t – but if we did then it would be for the fans. It would be for the people and the music and not for fucking money. Fuck that shit!”

Liam’s brother Noel also is looking to the 20th year anniversary as a possible time to patch things up, telling a radio audience in August “We could maybe have all gone off and done other things for a few years. In my own head the 2015, 20-year anniversary of Morning Glory is looming and we could have maybe come back, made a new album and played that album in its entirety and gone and been the greatest thing ever, but there you go.”

In the meantime both brothers are pursuing their new projects, Liam with Beady Eye who released a record earlier this year, and Noel with Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds who have released a number of music videos.

The lawsuit brought by Liam against Noel has also been shelved after the brother’s mum Peggy stepped in to stop the madness. Liam wanted an apology from Noel for saying that an Oasis gig was cancelled because Liam was too hungover.
