Just over a week before Future Music Festival 2012 kicks off at the Doomben Racecourse in Brisbane, Odd Future member and singer/songwriter Frank Ocean has announced that he is pulling out of the festival due to his live show taking longer to plan out than expected.

Mark Ronson was also forced to cancel his appearance a few months back due to other commitments.

“Future Entertainment are sad to announce that due to the delay of his debut album, Frank Ocean will no longer feature on the Future Music Festival bill this March,” said a statement today from the promoters.

“Information received from his management advises that his commitment to the album, and creation of the right live show is paramount and he sends his deepest apologies that these plans have taken longer than anticipated.”

“We are assured that new dates will be forthcoming,” it continued. “And Future look forward to announcing these when the information is available to us. Future Music Festival begins its epic journey throughout the country next week.”
