Miike Snow Announce Splendour Sideshows

Miike Snow Announce Splendour Sideshows

Written by Al Newstead on 10 May 2012

The Swedish trio who call themselves the “three headed band with the one man name” have already been announced to play Splendour In The Grass this year, but now Miike Snow have revealed two very special sideshows in Sydney and Melbourne.

Currently celebrating the release of their new album Happy To You, Miike Snow – two-thirds producers Bloodshy & Avant and one third Mark Ronson collaborator Andrew Wyatt – are eager to bring their energetic live show to their fans down under.

As one of 2009’s biggest breakout successes, Miike Snow took over dance floors and festival grounds across the world with their eponymously titled debut album and its hits ‘Silvia’ and ‘Animal’. Their decision to release a second album confirmed their plans to continue as a band rather than a project, an idea cemented by extensive touring throughout 27 countries in 18 months, including their last appearance in Australia two years ago.

The ‘Wiinter Headline Shows’ will be the only chance to catch the band outside of the now sold out Splendour In The Grass festival.

SPLENDOUR IN THE GRASS SIDESHOWS

Monday 30th July – Metro Theatre, Sydney

Tuesday 31st July – Palace Theatre, Melbourne
