Sures Sign To Ivy League Records. Announce National Tour

Written by Al Newstead on 30 May 2012

Fresh from signing with Ivy League Records (home to similarly fresh acts The Rubens, Alpine and Cloud Control), Sydney quartet Sures are celebrating by heading out a whistle-stop national tour to support their debut EP, Stars.

Delivering blissed out guitar-based surf pop, the four-piece play music that’s fuzzy around the edges but melodic to the core. Making waves at home and abroad, even without a release to their name. They were chosen to support acclaimed international acts like Best Coast, Real Estate and most recently, Wavves and were invited to play both Laneway Festival and Boogie Fest.

In between playing all these live shows, the band found time to finish their debut EP, Stars, which includes the single of the same name and radio favourite “Poseidon”.

Sures will be heating the road to play a bunch of shows over the next few months before heading back to the studio once again to get stuck in to what promises to be an incredible debut album.

You can have a listen to “Poseidon” after the tour dates to help you get in the mood.
