No sooner had Parklife announced his official dates for its 2012 appearance (and newly relocated Sydney site), than bands and announcements started leaking all over the internet.

Both ‘live dubstep’ act Modestep and drum n bass selector DJ Fresh from the UK have already been confirmed for Parklife 2012, thanks to a few eagle-eyed watchers of their respective social media pages. Now we can add three more names to the line up.

Firstly, In The Mix report of a Cosmopolitan interview with the British MC Labrinth, who told the lifestyle readers he’d be heading out for the bill, stating he “can’t wait to create a mosh pit in Australia.” Probably to the strains of his dance hit, “Earthquake.”

In The Mix also referenced tour page Songkick, who previously confirmed Swedish quartet Little Dragon for last year’s line-up ahead of the official announcements, as a potential lead given the appearance of Art Department.

Curiously, the Canadian house outfit have a show scheduled in Switzerland, between the New Zealand and Adelaide appearances of the music festival, which might make it a somewhat dubious source; In The Mix adding “much of Songkick’s listings come from ticketing companies and promoters rather than users, but of course it’s not always accurate.”

More solid evidence can be found in a visit from American synthpop duo Chairlift, after FasterLouder reported that the band’s leading lass, Caroline Polachek tweeted a fan confirming the band’s presence on the touring bill – direct from the horse’s mouth:

Parklife’s promoters, Fuzzy, have yet to say zip about all of the line-up leaks, but an official announcement is due ‘sometime this month’ revealing the full list of acts to play the national festival. Place your bets now people!
