Ainslie Wills Announces New Single, Australian Tour 2012

Written by Al Newstead on 5 July 2012

The Jeff-Buckley debating Melbourne melodist Ainslie Wills, following on from the success of “Fighting Kind”,  is set to release her latest single, “Stop Pulling The Sring” on July 16; and to commemorate the occasion, she’s launched an east coast tour.

Audibly-arresting from the first note, “Stop Pulling The String” embraces listeners with the warmth of Wills’ soaring, ethereal vocals and sweeps them away on an aural odyssey through the depths of multi-layered loops and over the sun-drenched canopies of shimmering keyboard and guitar melodies.

To herald the release of “Stop Pulling The String”, Ainslie Wills will be taking punters on an aural odyssey throughout August and will be playing at GoodGod Small Club in Sydney on Thursday 16 August, The Terrace Bar in Newcastle on Friday 17 August, The Grace Darling in Melbourne on Friday 24 August and finally at Karova Lounge on 31 August in Ballarat.

“Stop Pulling The String” is the next piece of the puzzle lifted from the songstress’ forthcoming debut album You Go Your Way, I’ll Go Mine, which will be released in September 2012.
