Soundwave Festival 2013 Lineup Announced, Metallica Headline

The Soundwave Festival 2013 lineup may have already had more leaks than a sinking ship, many of them from the festival’s own boss and serial tweeter AJ Maddah; but that hasn’t stunted anticipation for Australia’s leading hard and heavy rock festival.

We already knew that Californian punks THE OFFSPRING and BLINK 182 (complete with drummer Travis Barker) were part of the 2013 lineup, along with a bill that had already leaked the likes of CANCER BATS, Corey Taylor of Slipknot’s other band, STONE SOUR, sludge metal act KINGDOM OF SORROW, post-hardcore act THE BLACKOUT and Cannibal Corpse side-project SIX FEET UNDER.

This morning’s official announcement now adds a heaving lineup of equally high-profile acts – previously rumoured and otherwise – that will be joining the already impressive bill for the touring festival, now established as one of Australia’s biggest festivals.
