When buying something at a secondhand store, it’s rare to think about the story behind what you just bought, where did it come from?  Where has it just been? Was it treasured? How did it arrive here? Directed by Cesar Rodrigues from Blank Tape Music (Blue King Brown, Texture Like Sun, Axolotland edited by Derry Sheehan from Tooth & Claw (Washington, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard),

Second hand heart’s film clip follows the journey of the hunt, discovery and sometime recycling of a treasure.

Offering new musical gems, this has been a busy year for Second hand heart supporting the likes of  Art of Sleeping, Pluto Jonze, Ainslie WillsThem Swoops, Saskwatch nominated a finalist for the  Petty Thieves (DZ Deathrays) ‘Track to clip competition, semi-finalist in the Valleyarm A & R Showcase Series  and receiving international blog love.

On September 8th Second hand heart launch their film clip at The Empress Hotel in Melbourne. Joining them to celebrate the release will be folk-pop chanteuse Esther Holt (ex-Snowy Belfast)  after finishing a month long residency at the Evelyn Hotel in July, and bitter-sweet songstress Lucy Peach  who is flying over from Perth after recently supporting Tim Finn.

Recorded and mixed at Melbourne’s Face Studios, ‘Trouble was flown overseas for mastering at  West West Side Music New York, seeking the International finishing school of past clients  Sufjan Stevens, Grizzly Bearand Angus & Julia Stone.  Likened to early Big Scary and Sarah Blasko with their more dynamic tracks lending to  Anna Calvi’s rock chic prowess, Second hand heart have been applauded by the biz for their musicianship.

Also appealing to an international audience with an alternate French version of ‘Trouble’ titled ‘Tu me perds’ or ‘You’re loosing me’, the single is the first translation from Second Hand Heart that will prove their talent in bilingual music.
