Its been brewing in the smoke-house for just over a year now, but its finally done: Winter People’s debut album A Year At Sea will be released September 21, and to celebrate they’re scrubbing deck, hoisting sail and dropping anchor at a harbour near you.

The tour will be rolling through the badlands from September through October, along with musical first-mates Founds.

The good ship will be making its first berth for the Big Sound 2012 music conference in Brisbane. It’ll be a night of nostalgia, as the band revisit the stage of the Zoo, the venue where they made our interstate debut some years back with Megan Washington.

As well as their national your, Winter People will be joining the Harvest Festival 2012 across all dates (Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane), with a couple of little bands you may of heard of: Beck, Sigur Ros, Grizzly Bear to name a few.
